Our Mission

Fashion for Freedom stems from the desire to use fashion and design to help survivors of human trafficking reinvent their lives and empower them to create a new future. Through group classes and personal interactions, Fashion for Freedom hopes to bring a sense of community, agency, and beauty to women who have been told they are worthless.

Motivated by the stories from organizations who save women from slavery around the world, founder Geetha Minton embarked on a mission to put her dress design company, GKM Design, behind the cause. She understood from her Indian heritage that there could be cultural roadblocks for victims, making it difficult to integrate back into society, even after being rescued. This inspired Geetha to find a way to create opportunities for these survivors, tying them to something beautiful.
